When customer calls right after accident:
FIRST – Safety Check: ‘Is everyone safe? Are there any injuries?’ (If injuries, ensure emergency services contacted)
SECOND – Police Report: ‘You’ll need to obtain an official police report. This is mandatory for any insurance claim.’
THIRD – Document Scene: If it’s safe, please:
- Take photos of all vehicle damage
- Note the other driver’s information (name, phone, insurance company, policy number)
- Note exact location and time
FOURTH – Determine Filing Path: Use the Insurance Coverage Matrix to determine where to file
FIFTH – File Claim: If Methaq handles: ‘You need to file online at www.methaq.ae within the next few days.’
